Welcome to your new thread title.:lol: The Duratec's just now aging to the point where some users would have 100,000 + miles. There was never intended to be lash adjustments within that mileage span even though it's a solid (non-hydraulic lash adjustment) valvetrain.
The 2.0 / 2.3 Duratec we sell now is 3750.00 for 600hp The 2012+ Does cost a little more at 4250.00 for 600hp If we figure install of the engine add 600.00 so were looking at 4850.00 but the ST Engine would also have to be installed but at a higher cost of about 2500.00 so we have to keep apples with apples , meaning I didnt list cost that would also have to be done to install the ST swap
At 7500rpm, a 2.0L with it's 83mm STROKE has a PISTON SPEED of 67.790 ft/second. To reach a PISTON SPEED of 76.775 ft/second with the 83mm stroke, the engine has to run to a speed of 8494rpm, 13.25% higher. At that point, the 2.0L engine will still not use as much air per combustion event as a 2.3L because it can't.
